General Information about Visa:
To submit an application for a visa, you need to complete the application form. The program is seen in the site. After completing the application form, applicants need to print out the verification form, sign it and then glue a passport-sized photograph on the suitable location and make it into the Consular Department of the Embassy together with their passport and other documents in line with the kind of visa they’re applying for. Please note that the Consular Section of the Embassy is open from 09:30 am to 12:30 pm, from Sunday to Thursday.
Please upload the following while applying online for visa:
- Photograph (white background) and signature
- Passport (first page,including photo and personal information)
- Police clearance (criminal history)
- Invitation letter
- Business letter (Carta Empresa)
- Itinerary (Airline ticket reservation)
Documents to be submitted in the embassy
The Embassy accepts documents in Portuguese or English. Documents have to be interpreted and assessed and won’t be approved by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Official documents (like Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Police Character Certificate, University Degrees and Transcripts) has to be attested by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Documents from employers and invitation letters have to be notarized by Notary Public. Invitation letters out of company/people in Brazil has to be notarized in Brazil.
Applicants might be called for interview during the application process. Interviews will be held by the Consular Officers in the Consular Section of The Embassy.
Visa fees vary according to the type of visa required. In order to start the process, together with the visa form, the applicant must bring a money order from his or her own bank on behalf of EMBASSY OF BRAZIL –
HSBC ACCOUNT: 003-313-293-011.
Tourist Visa: BDT 2000
Business Visa: BDT 6000
Processing time varies from case to case. Be sure to plan your visa application in advance. After all application requirements are met, the processing time is of minimum 10 (ten) working days.
