Travel Restrictions in the world due to COVID-19(Novel Coronavirus)

Japan

Entry Policy:

Japan denies permission to land in Japan to the following foreigners as of March 27, 2020.

(1) Foreigners who have stayed in any of the following cities/provinces/regions within 14 days prior to the application for landing:

Republic of Iceland, Ireland, Principality of Andorra, Italian Republic, Islamic Republic of Iran, Republic of Estonia, Republic of Austria, Kingdom of the Netherlands, Republic of San Marino, Swiss Confederation, Kingdom of Sweden, Kingdom of Spain, Republic of Slovenia, Kingdom of Denmark, Federal Republic of Germany, Kingdom of Norway, Vatican, French Republic, Kingdom of Belgium, Portuguese Republic, Republic of Malta, Principality of Monaco, Principality of Liechtenstein, Grand Duchy of Luxembourg;

(2) People’s Republic of China: Hubei Province, Zhejiang Province;

(3) Republic of Korea: Daegu-guangyeok-si, or Cheondo-gun, Gyeongsan-si, Andong-si, Yeongcheon-si, Chilgok-gun, Uiseong-gun, Seongju-gun, Gunwi-gun in Gyeongsangbuk-do;

(4) Foreigners who have Chinese passports issued in Hubei Province or Zhejiang Province in the People’s Republic of China;

(5) Foreigners who were on the cruise ship, Westerdam, departed from Hong Kong.

Visa Policy:

Until April 30, 2020, all single or multiple entry visas issued in China, South Korea, members of the Schengen Agreement, Ireland, Andorra, Iran, United Kingdom, Egypt, Cyprus, Croatia, San Marino, Vatican, Bulgaria, Monaco, Romania, Indonesia, Singapore, Thailand, Philippines, Brunei, Vietnam, Malaysia , Israel, Qatar, Democratic Republic of the Congo, Bahrain will no longer be valid.

South Korea

All travellers have to self-isolate for 14 days after entry. Those who do not have a residence in South Korea will be quarantined at designated locations at their own expense. (As of April 1, 2020)
All passengers to Korea must undergo fever check at the departure airport. Any passenger who has fever with temperature over 37.5’C will be rejected to board a flight to Korea. (As of March 20, 2020)
All passengers departing from Europe or the US and entering Korea are subjected to COVID-19 test if they have symptoms. (Until March 31, 2020)

For those who have no symptoms of COVID-19,

(1) Korean nationals or foreign nationals of long-term stay will return to their residence and will be quarantined for 14 days.

(2)Foreign nationals of short-term visit will move to a facility and undergo COVID-19 TEST. If the result is negative, they will be monitored.

Visa exemption entry applied to nationals of Japan will be suspended. (As of March 9, 2020)
The following passengers are not permitted to enter South Korea. (As of February 4, 2020):
(1) Chinese who have a passport issued by Hubei Province, anyone who has visited Hubei Province in the past 14 days.
(2) Visa exemption entry to JEJU island will be temporarily suspended.
(3) Passengers who are not eligible for visa waiver of Korea are not permitted to transit in Korea if travelling from China.

Singapore

Short-term visitors：

From March 23, 2020, all short-term visitors (from anywhere in the world) will not be allowed to enter or transit through Singapore.

Work pass holders:

From March 25, 2020, all new and existing work pass holders (including dependants) planning to enter Singapore from Malaysia must obtain Ministry of Manpower’s approval before they commence their journey. This is regardless of the mode of travel into Singapore.

The Singapore-Malaysia Special Working Committee has agreed that the transport of all types of goods between Malaysia and Singapore will be facilitated during the duration of Malaysia’s Movement Control Order. As such, those conveying essential services, or supplies (e.g. lorry drivers, vegetable supply truckers, frozen supply truckers) via land and sea crossings will be exempted from MOM’s entry approval and SHN requirements.

Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Long Term Pass holders:

From March 23, 2020, all Singapore Citizens, Permanent Residents, Long Term Pass holders returning to Singapore will be issued a 14-day Stay-Home Notice (SHN).

Persons under SHN must remain in their place of residence at all times.

Mainland China

From March 28, 2020, the following policies for entries and visas are beginning to take effect:

(1) Temporarily suspend the entry into China by foreign nationals holding visas or residence permits still valid to the time of this announcement;

(2) Entry by foreign nationals with APEC Business Travel Cards will be suspended;

(3) Policies including port visas, 24/72/144-hour visa-free transit policy, Hainan 30-day visa-free policy, 15-day visa-free policy specified for foreign cruise-group-tour through Shanghai Port, Guangdong 144-hour visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups from Hong Kong or Macao SAR, and Guangxi 15-day visa-free policy specified for foreign tour groups of ASEAN countries will also be temporarily suspended;

(4) Entry with diplomatic, service, courtesy of C visas will not be affected;

(5) Foreign nationals coming to China for necessary economic, trade, scientific or technological activities or out of emergency humanitarian needs may apply for visas at Chinese embassies or consulates;

(6) Entry by foreign nationals with visas issued after this announcement will not be affected.

Policies imposed by local authorities in China:

(1) Zhejiang, Fujian, Hainan, Heilongjiang, Guangxi, Jiangxi, Sichuan, Wuhan city of Hubei, Pingdingshan city of Henan, Jiangsu, Shandong, Liaoning, Jilin, Ningxia, Chongqing, Anhui, Gansu, Xinjiang, Changsha city of Hunan, Hebei, Guizhou, Yunnan and Inner Mongolia: all travellers from abroad have to undergo test and will be quarantined at designated locations for 14 days at their own cost;

(2) Beijing: from March 25, 2020, all people arriving in Beijing from overseas regions, and those who arrive in Beijing within 14 days after entering China from other points of entry will be tested and should undergo 14-day quarantine at designated facilities at their own expense;

(3) Shanghai: from March 26, 2020, all travellers from abroad must undergo a 14-day quarantine. For travellers whose destination is Jiangsu, Zhejiang, or Anhui, they will be transferred directly to their destination by special teams of these provinces;

(4) Guangdong: from March 21, 2020, all travellers who have been abroad in the last 14 days prior their arrival in Guangdong will be quarantined at designated locations (at their own cost) or at home after entry.

Hong Kong, China

Entry Policy (as of March 25, 2020) :

(1) All non-Hong Kong residents coming from overseas countries and regions by plane will be denied entry to Hong Kong;

(2) Non-Hong Kong residents coming from the Mainland, Macao and Taiwan will be denied entry to Hong Kong if they have been to any overseas countries and regions in the past 14 days.

Compulsory Quarantine:

From March 25, 2020, all travellers coming from the Mainland, Macao and Taiwan, including Hong Kong and non-Hong Kong residents, will be subject to a 14-day compulsory quarantine, which is the same as the arrangements for people entering Hong Kong from the Mainland.

Macau, China

Starting from March 25, residents of the Mainland China, the Hong Kong SAR and the region of Taiwan who have been to countries/areas outside China in the past 14 days are banned from entering the Macao SAR.

Starting from March 19, all holders of non-resident worker’s identification card are banned from entering the Macau SAR, except holders of non-resident worker’s identification card who have resident status in the Mainland China, the Hong Kong SAR and the region of Taiwan.

Starting from March 18, all non-Macau residents are banned from entering the Macao SAR, except residents of the Mainland China, the Hong Kong SAR and the region of Taiwan, as well as holders of non-resident worker’s identification card.

Starting from February 20, all holders of non-resident worker’s identification card seeking to enter the Macau SAR who, within the past 14 days prior to their entry, have visited the Mainland China, are required to submit to medical observation for 14 days at a place in Zhuhai City designated by the sanitary authority and obtain a medical certificate of no infection with novel coronavirus issued by the health departments of Zhuhai City, before they are allowed to enter Macau. Holders of non-resident worker’s identification card who cannot obtain the above mentioned medical certificate and cannot return to the place of origin, if they seek to enter the Macau SAR, are required to undergo medical observation at a designated place and time according to the requirements of the sanitary authority.

Starting from January 27, all travellers from Hubei Province, as well as travellers who have been to Hubei Province within the past 14 days, are required to present a medical certificate of no infection with novel coronavirus upon entry into Macau.

Taiwan, China

From February 6, mainland residents who live in the mainland will be temporarily prohibited from entry (except for mainland spouses of Taiwan residents who hold residence permits).

Starting from February 10, travellers who transit through China, Hong Kong and Macau and are granted entry into Taiwan and will be required to be under home quarantine for 14 days.

A temporary ban has been imposed on cross-strait passenger flights between Taiwan and certain airports in China starting February 10 to 11:59 pm of April 29. Except for the flights to and from Beijing Capital International Airport, Shanghai Pudong International Airport, Shanghai Hongqiao International Airport, Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport and Chengdu Shuangliu International Airport, cross-strait flights to and from the remaining airports in China will be suspended.

From March 19, all inbound travellers will be subject to a 14-day home quarantine. From March 24 until April 7, the transit of airline passengers through Taiwan will be suspended.

India

From March 22 until April 14, India has banned international flights.

1. All existing visas (except diplomatic, official, UN/International Organizations, employment, project visas) stand suspended till 15th April 2020. This will come into effect from 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.

2. Visa-free travel facility granted to OCI cardholders is kept in abeyance till 15th April 2020. This will come into effect from 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.

3. OCI cardholders already in India can stay in India as long as they want.

4. Visas of all foreigners already in India remain valid and they may contact the nearest FRRO/FRO through the e-FRRO module for extension/conversion etc. of their visa or grant of any consular service if they choose to do so.

5. Any foreign national who intends to travel to India for compelling reason may contact the nearest Indian Mission.

6. In addition to Visa restrictions already in place, passengers travelling from /having visited Italy or Republic of Korea and desirous of entering India will need a certificate of having tested negative for COVID-19 from the designated laboratories authorized by the health authorities of these countries. This is in enforcement since 10th March, 2020 and is a temporary measure till cases of COVID-19 subside.

7. All incoming travellers, including Indian nationals, arriving from or having visited China, Italy, Iran, Republic of Korea, France, Spain and Germany after 15th February 2020 shall be quarantined for a minimum period of 14 days. This will come into effect from 13th March 2020 at the port of departure.

8. Incoming travellers, including Indian nationals, are advised to avoid non-essential travel and are informed that they can be quarantined for a minimum of 14 days on their arrival in India. Crew members and passengers of cruise ships who have been in countries affected by the coronavirus will not be allowed entry until March 31.

The Prime Minister announced that from March 25, the entire country shall go under complete lockdown, a total ban is being imposed on people, from stepping out of their homes for a period of 21 days.

Indonesia

From March 20 The Indonesian government has suspended its visa exemption policy for the short-stay visit, visa-on-arrival and diplomatic/service visa-free facilities for all countries, for a period of 1 month. All foreigners/travellers who wish to visit Indonesia must obtain a visa from Indonesian missions in accordance with the purpose of their visit. Upon submission, applicants must provide health certificate issued by relevant health authorities from their respective countries.

Deny entry or transit to Indonesia for visitors/travellers who have travelled to the following countries, in the last 14 days:
Iran, Italy, Holy See, Spain, France, Germany, Switzerland, United Kingdom All visitors/travellers must complete and submit a Health Alert Card to the Port Health Authority upon arrival at Indonesian airports.

The Government advises all Indonesian citizens to restrict non-essential outbound travels. For Indonesian citizens who have travelled to the countries above, an additional screening shall be carried out by the Port Health Authority upon arrival, If the additional screening shows initial symptoms of COVID-19, a 14-day observation in a government facility will be applied; If no initial symptom is found, a 14-day self-quarantine will be strongly recommended.

From March 8, travellers from Tehran, Qom and Gilan in Iran, Lombardi, Veneto, Emilia Romagna, Marche and Piedmont in Italy, and Daegu and Gyeongsangbuk-do in South Korea will be banned from entering Indonesia，travelers not from the aforementioned cities must provide a clean bill of health from a health authority in their countries upon check-in at the airport, or they will be denied from entering Indonesia.

Malaysia

All tourists and foreign visitors are not permitted to enter Malaysia from March 18 to April 14, 2020.

All Malaysians who have returned from overseas travel are required to undergo a health check and impose a self-quarantine for a period of 14 days.

United Arab Emirates

All inbound and outbound flights and the transit of airline passengers will be suspended as of March 25 for two weeks. The United Arab Emirates has suspended issuing all entry visas starting from March 19, and will suspended visa-free or visa on arrival to all foreigners until further notice. From March 19, holders of residence visa will be denied entry, this restriction may be extended after two weeks.

Afghanistan

Travellers will be screened, those showing symptoms will be quarantined.

Azerbaijan

From March 24, for one month, the country is in a nationwide quarantine.

All arriving travellers will be screened for symptoms. In case of any suspected exposure, the passenger — regardless of national origin or purpose of travel — will be evaluated and sent to specially designated facilities for quarantine. From March 11, all travellers are required to self-quarantine at home for 14 days after entry. Entry to Azerbaijan is temporarily suspended for all citizens of China and Iran. Visa issuance for the citizens of these countries has also been suspended.

The border with Iran, Georgia, Russia and Turkey are closed. Flights to and from China, Iran, France, Germany, Kazakhstan and Ukraine are cancelled.

Issuance of e-visas has been temporarily suspended for all foreign citizens for a period of 45 days. Those who wish to visit can apply for a visa via their local embassy.

Bangladesh

Until April 15, Bangladesh government has suspended visa-on-arrival for all countries, travellers can enter the country by obtaining a visa (from Bangladesh missions) after producing medical certificate to prove that they are not carrying the virus, and they also need to provide a health clearance upon arrival at the airports. All travellers from European countries, Iran will not be allowed entry. Travellers from coronavirus affected countries will be quarantined for two weeks.

Bahrain

From March 18, visa on arrival will be suspended, all travellers are required to self-quarantine for 14 days. Travellers from Iran, Iraq, Lebanon will be banned from entering, except for Bahrain citizens, citizens of GCC member states and foreigners with residence visas.

Bhutan

From March 25, land borders will be sealed.

Brunei Darussalam

From March 24, all foreign nationals will be banned from entering or transiting in Brunei.All visa services have been suspended. Foreign citizens who have obtained a visa but have not yet entered the country should postpone their travel to Brunei.

Cambodia

The government has decided to impose temporary entry restrictions from March 30:

Suspension of visa exemption policy and issuance of tourist visa, e-visa and visa on arrival to any foreigner for a period of one month.

Any foreigner wishing to travel to Cambodia must obtain a visa from Cambodian missions abroad, must provide a medical certificate of negative test results of COVID-19, issued by competent health authorities no more than 72 hours prior to the date of travel, must provide proof of insurance policy that shows minimum medical coverage during the intended stay in Cambodia in the amount not less than fifty thousand US dollars.

The requirements for a medical certificate and insurance do not apply to any foreigner holding a diplomatic visa or official visa of Cambodia. Upon entry in Cambodia, any foreigner will be screened and subject to a health risk assessment, mandatory isolation, quarantine or any other measures.

The government will ban foreigners from Italy, Germany, Spain, France and the United States from entering the country for 30 days, effective March 17.

Democratic People’s Republic of Korea

North Korea has shut down all of its air and railway routes across its borders with China, and is keeping all foreigners arriving in the country via China isolated for up to one month.

Iran

All direct flights to and from China has been suspended.

Iraq

The government has decided on March 26 to extend the curfew to 11 April 2020 in all regions of Iraq, flights to and from Iraq remain suspended. The Iraqi authorities have banned entry into Iraq of passengers from France, Turkey, Spain, Nigeria, China, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Italy, Kuwait and Bahrain.

Israel

All orders have been closed, non-Israeli citizens or non-residents will not be allowed entry from March 18.

Jordan

Travellers will be banned from entry if they have been in China, South Korea， France, Germany and Spain in the last 14 days. The government said it would stop all incoming and outgoing passenger flights into the country from March 17, Personnel from diplomatic missions and international organizations can enter, but they need to be self-isolated for 14 days, all orders will be closed for tourism activities.

From March 27 until further notice, Jordan has imposed a curfew, people would not be permitted to leave their homes.

Kazakhstan

The government of Kazakhstan declared a state of emergency and will bar citizens from going overseas and foreigners from entering the country, except diplomatic services and members of international delegations from March 16 until April 15.

Kuwait

Kuwait imposed an entry ban on all Kuwaiti residence permit or visa holders who have been in mainland China(including Hong Kong), Iran, Iraq, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Singapore, and Japan in the past fourteen days. Travellers transiting via Singapore and Japan are prohibited from entering Kuwait. All flights to and from Iran, Iraq, South Korea, Thailand, Italy, Singapore, and Japan are suspended. From March 13, all commercial flights to and from Kuwait have been suspended.

Kyrgyzstan

From March 19, Kyrgyzstan will ban entry of citizens of foreign states and stateless persons into Kyrgyzstan. The exception is drivers engaged in international freight transport, crews and flight personnel of aircraft, train and locomotive teams of international railway traffic. The ban also does not apply to accredited employees of diplomatic missions and consular offices of foreign states, as well as accredited employees of international organizations and family members of these persons in case of informing in advance about their arrival through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Foreign citizens and stateless persons, who are members of the families of Kyrgyzstanis with documentary evidence of close family ties, or have a permanent residence permit in the Kyrgyz Republic, will be able to enter.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will suspend issuance of entry visas of all categories to foreign citizens and stateless persons for the period of the ban. The entry ban for foreigners will remain in effect until the government decree is canceled.

Laos

From March 18, the Lao government will impose measures as follows:
Close all “local” and “customary” border checkpoints across the country. As for international border checkpoints, only those that are fully equipped with the necessary equipment and staff for standardized screening and detecting suspected infected persons will be allowed to open.

Suspend the issuance of all kind of visas on arrival, including E-Visa and tourist visas for all nationals for the next 30 days. For those who already have obtained an entry visa to Laos, they must also attach a health certificate and a historical record of his\her activities over the past 14 days before entering Laos. As for visa exemption countries, the government has decided to temporarily suspend such exemptions until further notice, except those who hold diplomatic and official passports.

Avoid travelling abroad in this period, especially by air and mass transportation.

People travelling from a country with an outbreak must self-quarantine for at least 14 days and self-monitor their symptoms as a duty to wider society. In case of a fever, it is advisable to notify doctors and relevant authorities immediately.

Lebanon

Lebanon declared on March 15 a state of emergency and ordered a two-week lockdown. Beirut International Airport, all ports and land borders will be closed from March 18 to 29, 2020.

Entry into Lebanese territory is prohibited for travelers. Diplomats, UN peacekeepers, employees of international organizations and goods shipments would still be permitted entry.

Non-Lebanese nationals with a valid annual residence permit, Lebanese citizens and foreign members of their families from France, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Germany, Spain, Great Britain are allowed to enter on Lebanese territory until March 16. 2020. These people will however have to observe a period of confinement of 14 days at home and contact the Ministry of Public Health if flu-like symptoms appear.

Non-Lebanese nationals with a valid annual residence permit, Lebanese citizens and foreign members of their families not arriving from France, Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Germany, Spain, Great Britain, Italy , Iran, China (Hong Kong, Macao) and South Korea are allowed to enter Lebanese territory until March 18. 2020.

Maldives

From March 27, the government has suspended visa on arrival for foreign tourists, foreign nationals will not be allowed entry.

Mongolia

From March 22 until April 30, foreign nationals will be banned from entry. All commercial flights, passenger rail, and auto traffic into and out of Mongolia are suspended during this time period.

Myanmar

From March 29, Myanmar has stopped issuing all types of visas to all foreign nationals. The government has also suspended visa exemptions granted to all foreign nationals on bilateral arrangements, such as those from Asean countries except those holding diplomatic and official passports. The suspension will be in force until April 30.

From March 25, all incoming Myanmar nationals from country will be subject to a 14-day facility quarantine on their arrival in Myanmar.

All foreign nationals (including diplomats accredited to Myanmar and United Nations officials working in Myanmar) travelling to Myanmar are required to present laboratory evidence of absence of COVID-19 infection issued no more than 72 hours prior to the date of travel before boarding any airline destined for Myanmar. The will be subject to a 14-day facility quarantine on their arrival in Myanmar. Diplomats and UN officials will be subject to a 14-day home quarantine.

From March 15, Myanmar has banned all foreigners who have been to Hubei province in China or Daegu-Gyeongbuk region in South Korea in the past 14 days from entering the country. International visitors from Italy, the Republic of Korea, Iran, Spain, France and Germany, China, entering Myanmar with direct flights or visitors with recent travel history to those countries entering from the international airports will be quarantined for 14 days. E-visa and visa on arrival have been suspended. Passengers from the United States, Switzerland, the United Kingdom, the Netherlands, Austria, Belgium, Norway, Sweden, and Denmark, or those who have visited these countries within 14 days, must be quarantined at the designated location for 14 days, and these passengers must submit a health clearance before boarding any flights to Myanmar.

From March 18, The government on Thursday shut down the Myawady border gates in Kayin State, which is one of the busiest border gates going to and from Thailand.

From March 19, the Government of Myanmar has temporarily suspended entry of foreign nationals through any border check points opened between Myanmar and its neighbouring countries.

Nepal

The Nepal government has decided to suspend on-arrival visa for tourists entering the country from the immigration point at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA). Nepali embassies abroad will decide whether to provide visas after checking their health certificates. All travelers to Nepal will be screened at the Tribhuvan Airport in Kathmandu and be required to provide a heath clearance.

All travelers have to self-quarantine for 14 days after entry. From March 22 to 31, all international flights will be suspended and mandatory health checks will be implemented at border checkpoints.

Nepal has halted all mountaineering expeditions and revoked the already issued or to be issued permits for the spring climbing season.

Oman

From March 29, all international flights will be suspended.

The government has announced following resolutions:
Ban on entry of all non-Omanis to the sultanate’s territories via all land, sea and air ports and checkpoints, except citizens of Gulf Cooperation Council states from March 17. Imposing quarantine on all passengers arriving in the Sultanate via all land, sea and air ports and checkpoints, including Omanis. The country has suspended issuing of tourist visas beginning on March 15.

Pakistan

Government of Pakistan has also decided to suspend operation of all international passenger, chartered and private aircraft inbound flights to Pakistan, effective from March 21.Jinnah International Airport, Karachi and Sukkur Airport will remain closed for all types of Domestic Incoming/Outgoing Passenger Flight Operations with effect from Tuesday, March 24.

Palestine

From March 22, travelers from abroad will be quarantined at designated locations.

Philippines

There will be a temporary travel ban on foreigners entering the country starting March 22. Only Overseas Filipino Workers, repatriating Filipinos, their foreign spouses and children (provided that the foreign spouse and children are traveling with the Filipino national), and foreign government or international organization officials accredited by the Philippines will be allowed to enter the country.

OFWs, balikbayans, and foreign nationals leaving for abroad through any of the ports in Luzon shall be allowed at any time for the duration of the Enhanced Community Quarantine, provided that proof of international travel itinerary scheduled within twenty-four (24) hours is presented. Departing Filipino tourists are temporarily not allowed to depart.

Land, air, and sea travel of uniformed personnel for official business, especially those transporting medical supplies, laboratory specimens related to the COVID-19, and other humanitarian assistance, shall be allowed.

Sweeper flights for foreign nationals to bring them to airports will be allowed to continue operations.  Temporary ban on any person who has been to China and its Special Administrative Regions within fourteen (14) days immediately preceding arrival in the country. Filipinos are temporarily banned from traveling to China and its Special Administrative Regions.

Temporary ban on any person who has been to the North Gyeongsang province, including Daegu and Cheondo, South Korea, within fourteen (14) days immediately preceding arrival in the country. Passengers coming from or has transited through Iran and Italy in the last fourteen (14) days shall be required to present a medical certificate issued by competent medical authorities within the last forty-eight (48) hours prior to arrival in the country certifying that they are COVID-19 free.  They will then be subject to the Bureau of Quarantine (BOQ) for a fourteen (14)-day mandatory quarantine. Failure to present a medical certificate will be denied entry to the Philippines.  

The Philippine government announced the Enhanced Community Quarantine of Luzon to contain the spread of the COVID-19.  Land, air, and sea travel shall be restricted, travelers will only be permitted to take outbound international flights until 0:00 AM of 20 March. International outbound flights will resume operations on 13 April.

Qatar has temporarily banned entry of people coming from France, Germany, Spain, Italy, India, Bangladesh, China, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Lebanon, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Syria and Thailand. The temporary suspension of entry would affect all individuals intending to enter from these countries, including visas upon arrival, those with residence or work permit, and temporary visitors. Qatar will suspend all flights to the country for two weeks starting on Wednesday March 18, except for cargo or transit flights.

Saudi Arabia

From February 27, Saudi Arabia has temporarily halted the entry of pilgrims entering the country to visit holy sites.
From March 9, Saudi Arabia temporarily banned citizens and foreigners living in Saudi Arabia from traveling to United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Lebanon, Syria, South Korea, Egypt, Italy, Iraq, Oman, France, Germany, Turkey and Spain. Saudi Arabia has also stopped flights and ships from these countries.
From March 12, the country has suspended flights to all European Union countries as well as Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, the Philippines, Sudan, Ethiopia, South Sudan, Eritrea, Kenya, Djibouti, and Somalia, has suspended land travel to and from Jordan.
Arrivals from all the above-mentioned countries and those who have been there in the last 14 days have been temporarily barred from entering the country. From March 13, all travelers entering Saudi Arabia have to self-quarantine for 14 days.

From March 15, Saudi Arabia will suspend international flights for two weeks. The Saudi Port Authority announced a suspension of sea travel except cargo with the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Iraq, Lebanon, Syria, Egypt, South Korea, China, EU countries, Switzerland, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Eritrea, Sri Lanka, Ethiopia, Kenya, Sudan, Djibouti, Somalia, South Sudan, the Philippines, suspension of outbound travel of Saudi citizens and foreign residents in Saudi Arabia by sea, suspension of entry of travelers who have stayed in the above countries in the past 14 days.All employees returning to Saudi Arabia from abroad, as well as those who have symptoms, must be quarantined at homes for 14 days.

From March 21 until further notice, all air, coach, taxi and rail transport have been suspended.

Sri Lanka

Sri Lanka has indefinitely suspended the issuance of all visas for all visitors. All visas issued will no longer be valid. From March 22, All passenger flight & ship arrivals into Sri Lanka stopped till Coronavirus threat is brought under control. All departure flights from Sri Lanka will continue to operate as usual.

Syria

From March 19, Citizens of 26 countries will be temporarily banned from entry, citizens of China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, France, the United States, Japan, Belgium, Australia, Norway, Denmark, Sweden and Finland will be banned from entry for two months, citizens of Qatar, Bahrain, UAE, Kuwait, Egypt, Iraq, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, Tunisia and Morocco will be banned from entry for one month. Travelers from other countries must be quarantined at home for 14 days after entry. Those with suspected symptoms will be transferred to designated locations for quarantine.

From March 23, the Kassab port on the Syrian-Turkish border has been closed. From March 24, all crossing points have been closed for arrivals from Lebanon, Persons from Lebanon, including Syrian citizens, will be banned from entering, except for cargo vehicle driver who after health check.

All international flights to and from Syria will be suspended from March 22.

Tajikistan

From February 1, visitors who have recently been China will undergo health check and be quarantined at designated hospitals for 14 days, after entering Dushanbe Airport. From February 3, all flights between China and Tajikistan will be suspended. All land ports bordering China and Tajikistan are temporarily closed, and all visitors from affected areas, regardless of nationality, will be quarantined for 14 days.

From march 2, Tajikistan Blocks Entry of Citizens from 36 countries or regions (including China, Iran, South Korea, Afghanistan and Italy). From March 20, all airports will be closed, all flights will be postponed.

Thailand

From March 29, 2020, all foreign travellers are not permitted to enter Thailand. Except for:

(1) the case, or an exempted person, as prescribed or permitted pertaining to necessity by the Prime Minister or Chief Official responsible for remedying the emergency situation whereby conditions and timeframes may also be prescribed;

(2) carrier of goods pertaining to necessity, who shall promptly depart after completing their mission;

(3) vehicle operators and crew members of vehicles, who need to enter into the Kingdom pursuant to their mission, with a clear scheduled time of departure;

(4) persons on diplomatic or consular missions or under International Organisations, or representatives of the government performing their duties in Thailand, or other persons or international agencies, including their families, that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs gives permission pertaining to necessity, shall apply for a certificate of entry into the Kingdom from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with relevant documents;

(5) non-Thai nationals who have work permit or have been granted permission from government agencies to work in the Kingdom;

(6) Thai nationals who shall apply for a certificate of entry into the Kingdom from the Royal Thai Embassy or the Royal Thai Consulate in their country of residence, or has a medical certificate;

Persons granted an exemption or relaxation under (4) (5) or (6) must have a Fit to Fly Health Certificate which has been certified or issued no more than 72 hours before travelling.

Timor-Leste

The state of emergency is in force between March 28 and April 26, 2020 and applies to the entire national territory.
The Government prohibits the entry of foreigners into national territory, except for foreigners born in Timor-Leste, resident citizens and legal representatives of minors of Timorese nationality. The Prime Minister may exceptionally authorise the entry of foreigners, in duly substantiated cases, relating to the defence of the national interest or convenience of service. This prohibition does not apply to oil rig workers located in the Timor Sea.
Foreigners responsible for the transport of goods or release of imported goods must remain in the international zone of seaports, airports or land border posts.
All persons wishing to leave the country will be subject to health control, in particular by measuring body temperature or other means of diagnosis. Except in cases of medical evacuation, those who present symptoms of COVID-19, fever greater than 38º C, cough and/or breathing difficulties will be prevented from traveling and will be taken to a health facility to perform diagnostic tests of COVID-19.
All persons entering the country are required to be quarantined for at least 14 days and if they have symptoms of COVID-19 will have to be subject to diagnostic examination of COVID-19 and in positive cases will be subject to therapeutic isolation.

From March 27, all international flights will be suspended.

Turkmenistan

From March 20 to April 20, all travelers are prohibited from entering or leaving the country. Diplomats and staff of international organizations, aviation, maritime and railway crews, international freight drivers, foreign citizens working in Turkmenistan can enter the country with a health clearance issued by authorized medical institutions. Should include in the health clearance: name, gender, age, nationality, passport number, residence address, phone number, travel route, date of entry and purpose, residence in the Turkmenistan, test results of COVID-19 (with 24 hours before entry), etc., with a Russian or English translation.

From March 16, all air and land connections will be suspended until further notice, any foreigners will be denied entry.

From March 30 until April 20, all airports will be completely closed.

Vietnam

From March 22, 2020 until further notice:

(1) Vietnam has temporarily suspended entry for all foreign nationals;

(2) Vietnam will not be issuing visas or allowing entry to any travellers at this time, including those who already hold visas or visa exemptions.

Exceptions:

For those entering Viet Nam for diplomatic and official purposes, for participation in major diplomatic events, or being experts, business managers, highly skilled workers, the Ministry of Public Security and Ministry of National Defense shall coordinate with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Health, and other relevant agencies to issue visa if necessary.

From March 17, all air flights from and to all Yemeni airports, all land entrances should be closed except for commercial, relief and humanitarian shipping.

United Kingdom

The UK government has not published any restriction policy for travellers entering UK.

From March 17, Germany will implement the travel restrction of European Union. The travel ban will affect all non-EU nationals from visiting the bloc, except long-term residents, family members of EU nationals and diplomats, cross-border and healthcare workers, and people transporting goods.

Italy

The European Union has decided on March 17 to apply a coordinated temporary restriction of non-essential travel to the EU for a period of 30 days. The travel ban will affect all non-EU nationals from visiting the bloc, except long-term residents, family members of EU nationals and diplomats, cross-border and healthcare workers, and people transporting goods.
The Italian Government encourages avoiding any movement across all country.
Only Italian and foreign tourists still on holiday who need to come back to their places of residence are allowed to move. Airports and railways stations are open just to allow these people to come back to their own places.
Avoid movement of people to and from all regions with the exception of well-founded business reasons, circumstances of need, movement due to health reasons.
From March 28, for Italian nationals returning to Italy and foreign national resident in Italy：
Before boarding, the carrier’s staff is required to check the self-certification setting out the following detailed information: the reasons for travelling to Italy (health needs, work requirements, reasons of absolute necessity), the place of self-isolation for 14 days, own or otherwise private means of transportation used to get to the place of self-isolation and a mobile/land phone number.
All persons entering Italy are required to self-isolate,
The above rules do not apply to the following persons: cross-border workers, health services personnel, passenger/freight transport crews.

From March 17, only Citizens or residents of EU countries, Schengen will be allowed to enter French territory.

Spain

Portugal

From March 16, the circulation of tourists and leisure travel between Spain and Portugal will be suspended for a month. The circulation of goods and merchandise is only permitted by land.

From March 18, for 30 days, all international flights will be suspended except for EU countries, countries where Portuguese is the official language, and countries with a large Portuguese diaspora (Canada, the United States, South Africa, Venezuela).

From March 23, all travelers entering Portugal have to be quarantined for 14 days.

Sweden will close its borders to most visitors from non-EU countries from March 19, only Swedish citizens and residents can return to Sweden during this period, while the cargo transportation channels remain open.

Switzerland

From March 16, Switzerland has been in “”state of Emergency””.From March 25, entry restrictions have been extended to all countries and regions with the exception of the Principality of Liechtenstein.

Citizens of Switzerland and Liechtenstein, persons with a Swiss residence permit and persons who have to travel to Switzerland for work-related reasons or because of an emergency will continue to be allowed to enter the country. Travelers may continue to transit through Switzerland and movements of goods are still permitted.

From March 14, Denmark has close its borders to all foreigners for at least a month.Only trucks transporting goods and people with special permission will be allowed to pass the borders under control of the army.

Russia

From March 30, all vehicle, rail and pedestrian checkpoints, as well as the country’s maritime borders, will be closed. From 00:00 local time on March 27, 2020, all international flights to and from Russia will be suspended, with the exception of special flights arranged by the Government of the Russian Federation to evacuate oversea Russian citizens.

The Government of the Russian Federation decided from 00:00 local time on March 18, 2020 to 00:00 local time on May 1, 2020 to temporarily restrict the entry into the Russian Federation of foreign citizens and stateless persons.The restriction on entry will not apply to employees of diplomatic missions and consular posts in the Russian Federation, crews of aircraft, sea and river vessels, train, members of official delegations, permanent residents.

According to the government order of March 20, it was decided not to extend the temporary restriction on entry into the Russian Federation to citizens of The Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) arriving in Russia through air border crossing points and departing to their citizenship states through air border crossing points and other border crossing points when traveling to their citizenship states by other means of transport.

Albania

From March 15, the Albanian government has closed its border, except for cargo transport.

Austria

Third-country nationals (non-EU/EEA/CH citizens) who have been to coronavirus risk areas listed on the website of the Austrian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (currently France, Iran, Italy, South Korea, Spain, Switzerland and parts of China) in the last 14 days must present a medical certificate confirming a negative molecular-biological SARS-CoV-2 test result upon entry to Austria. Moreover, all individuals regardless of their citizenship are required to preset such a medical certificate when entering Austria from Italy, as well as Switzerland and Liechtenstein (from March 16).

The certificate must be issued by a licensed medical practitioner in German, English, Italian or French and must not be older than 4 days. Persons who cannot produce the required medical certificate will be denied entry into Austria (with exceptions for Austrian citizens and permanent residents of Austria) and / or may be subject to further measures according to the Austrian Epidemic Act, such as home quarantine.

From March 16, control measures have been taken at the Austrian-Swiss border, flights between Austria and Spain, France, and Switzerland have been suspended.

On March 16, Armenia declared a state of emergency until April 14, the borders with neighboring Georgia and Iran will be closed, and foreigners from countries with a high incidence of coronavirus will be barred from entering, while Armenian citizens will be able to leave only by air.

From March 17, Belgium will implement the travel restrction of European Union.From March 18 to April 5, Belgium will go into lockdown.

Belarus

Travelers will be screened, those from coronavirus affected countries have to complete an information form, and those having symptoms may be quarantined.

Bosnia and Herzegovina

The government has declared a state of emergency. Foreign citizens from Hubei province of China, South Korea, Japan, Italy, Iran, France, Romania, Germany, Austria, Spain, Switzerland and Belgium are temporarily banned from entering the country. All foreign citizens must self-quarantine at home for 14 days after entry.

Bulgaria

The Bulgarian government has banned the entry of travelers from the following 15 countries beginning March 18: Italy, Spain, Iran, Republic of Korea, China, France, Germany, United Kingdom, Switzerland, The Netherlands, India, Bangladesh, Maldives, Nepal, and Sri Lanka. These restrictions do not apply to Bulgarian citizens and their family members, or persons with permanent or long term residence permits and members of their families.

Cyprus

Cyprus imposed a 15-day ban on entry to non-residents, with only Cypriots, legal residents, diplomats, registered students and specific authorized people allowed in, effective from March 15.

Czech Republic

From March 16, all foreign nationals will be banned from entry, except for permanent residents and holders of residence visa with a duration of stay of more than 90 days.

Denmark

Estonia

Starting from Tuesday, March 17, 2020, the rules of border crossing have been:
1. Only citizens of Estonia and holders of Estonian residency permit or right of residence, among them the so-called grey passport holders can enter Estonia, as well as those foreign citizens whose family member lives in Estonia.
2. Foreigners are allowed to transit Estonia on the way to their home country if they do not show symptoms of COVID-19. The detailed information on this so called “”humanitarian corridor”” is provided by border control officials.
3. At the border crossing points, i.e. ports, airports and checkpoints at all Russian and Latvian land borders, the travel documents and medical symptoms will be checked.
4. Everyone entering the country must remain in self-isolation for 14 days.
5. International cargo (especially transport of food and medical supplies) can enter the country, as well as persons providing vital services, like fuel providers.

From March 19, Finland’s borders have been closed. Passenger transport to Finland has been suspended, with the exception of the return of Finnish citizens and persons residing in Finland. Finnish citizens and persons residing in Finland must not travel abroad. Finnish tourists abroad are advised to return to Finland immediately. Necessary travel for work and to access other necessary services will be permitted across the northern and western borders. Freight and goods traffic will continue as usual.

Finns and permanent residents in Finland returning from abroad will be placed in quarantine-like conditions for two weeks.

Georgia

Citizens of foreign countries will be denied of entry into the country at the sovereign border of Georgia for two weeks from March 18, 2020; Foreign citizens are not restricted in the following cases: diplomats and representatives of international organizations and their family members; spouses or minor children who are citizens of Georgia; doctors and volunteers who go to Georgia for humanitarian relief tasks; stateless persons officially recognized by Georgia; persons holding neutral travel documents; persons with Georgian refugee status; entry for foreign official delegations will be handled on a case-by-case basis.

From March 24，all types of international travel are be suspended: air, land, and sea travel. Charter flights will be scheduled, as needed. Rail transport is suspended, only cargo transport continues without restrictions.

Transport by routed taxicab and bus is prohibited. Domestic passenger air travel is suspended. Only charter flights are carried out with permission from the Government of Georgia.

Travel, passenger transport by routed taxicab and bus, is suspended within boundaries of self-governing cities and administrative municipal centers. This restriction does not apply to passenger transport commuting between administrative centers and villages within given municipalities. Intercity traffic is to be prohibited throughout all of Georgia.

From March 13, the Greek government has suspended all flights and ferries to and from Italy suspended all flights to and from Spain, closed its borders with Albania and Northern Macedonia; Greek citizens and permanent residence in Greece Citizens can still enter; cruise ships are prohibited from arriving at Greek ports.

From March 23 to April 15, flights to and from the United Kingdom and all air, land and sea travel with Turkey will be suspended, and entry into Greece from Turkey is prohibited, except for Greek citizens, Greek permanent residents and cargo.

Restrictions on movement will be introduced in relation to the entire territory of Hungary for the period between 28 March and 11 April due to the coronavirus epidemic. For two weeks, citizens will only be allowed to leave their homes and places of residence for the purpose of going to work or meeting other essential needs.

On March 11, the government has ordered a state of emergency in connection with protective measures against the new coronavirus. The border controls will be reintroduced on Hungary’s Schengen borders with Slovenia and Austria, and all trains, buses and flights from these countries will be subjected to restored general border control measures.

The government has ordered a ban on travelers from Italy, China, South Korea and Iran, except for Hungarian citizens arriving from those locations who will have to stay in isolation at home for two weeks after arrival.

Iceland

As of Saturday, 28 March, 2020, foreign nationals – except EU/EEA, EFTA or UK nationals – are not allowed to enter Iceland. This advice is valid until 17 April 2020.

Ireland

All travelers have to self-quarantine for 14 days after entry.

Latvia

Emergency situation was declared throughout the national territory from March 16 until April 14 2020.

International passenger transport through airports, ports, by bus and rail transport, other than passenger transport by State aircraft and military transport, shall be cancelled from 17 March 2020.

The movement of persons and vehicles through airport, port, railway and road border crossing points at the European Union’s external border, as well as at border crossing points intended for local border traffic, other than freight transport, shall be prohibited from 17 March 2020.

The nationals of the Republic of Latvia and foreigners whose permanent residence is the Republic of Latvia, the foreign diplomats working in Latvia, as well as persons arriving in Latvia for humanitarian reasons and to pursue national interests, shall be authorized to return to the Republic of Latvia through the border crossing points.

Short-term and long-term visas for entry to Latvia shall not be issued by the diplomatic and consular missions of Latvia abroad, as long as the emergency situation exists.

The Lithuanian government has announced a nationwide quarantine from March 14 until April 13. The measures include closing borders to foreign nationals, except for: Lithuanian citizens, holders of residence permits, diplomats.

Luxembourg

Malta

Malta suspends flights and ferries to and from Italy, France, Germany, Spain, and Switzerland, Persons entering Malta from any other country from March 13, 2020 onwards must spend 14 days in mandatory quarantine, which 14 days start from the last day that they were in any of these countries. This is enforceable by law. Failures to observe this obligation will result in fines of €1,000. Persons living in the same households must also spend 14 days in mandatory quarantine.

Moldova

From March 9 to 31, the Embassy of Moldova in China will suspend some consular services. The service of Chinese citizens’ visas (including e-visa) to Moldova has also been suspended.

The country has temporarily closed the border crossings between Moldova and Romania and Ukraine, and suspended all international land travel to Moldova and domestic rail transport; Flights from Italy, Spain, France, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Cyprus, Germany, Ireland, United Kingdom, Poland, Portugal, Romania has been suspended; Airlines are banned from carrying foreign citizens (except for foreign citizens who have a residence or residence permit in Moldova) to Moldova.

From March 16, foreign citizens without resident card of Montenegro have been banned from entering.Public transport of passengers in international road, rail and air traffic is suspended. All persons entering have to self quarantine at home for 14 days, as well as the familiy members living in the same household.

From March 24, international passenger traffic has been suspended, except for the arrival of Montenegrin nationals, through diplomatic and consular missions, announced to the Operational Staff of the National Coordination Body for Communicable Diseases, with mandatory quarantine accommodation.

Norway

From March 16, the government will close the border to foreign nationals who lack a residence or work permit in Norway. People with Norwegian passports or residence/work permits who have arrived in Norway from another country must stay in quarantine at home for 14 days after arrival, regardless of whether or not they have symptoms.

Transit passengers: People free of illness and symptoms may fly to their final destination to be quarantined in their own home.

The government of North Macedonia has restricted entry into the country for travelers from China, USA, Italy, Germany, France, Iran, South Korea, Spain，this is effective until March 24.

Poland

From March 15, Poland will ban entry of all foreigners.

Portugal

From March 16, the circulation of tourists and leisure travel between Spain and Portugal will be suspended for a month. The circulation of goods and merchandise is only permitted by land. Trips to the Azores and Madeira Archipelagos, Passengers on flights to the Azores and Madeira archipelagos are subject to frequency restrictions and quarantine period. Passengers of Cruise ships are not allowed to embark and disembark at Portuguese ports, except for resident passengers.

From March 22, foreign citizens and stateless persons are banned from entering Romania through all border points, except for: European Union citizens residing in Romania and their families, holders of a residence permit in Romania, diplomats and staff of international organizations, humanitarian missions.

Serbia

Serbia’s borders have been closed to all foreigners from March 15 , apart from diplomats and full-time residents. Serbian nationals returning from outbreak hotspots will be quarantined from between 14 to 28 days. From March 19, all international flights have been suspended, except for cargo, humanitarian, medical emergency and other special flights.

Slovenia

The accepting of personal submissions of visa services is temporarily suspended at the Slovak diplomatic missions and consular offices in China, South Korea and Iran, except of cases of special consideration (Diplomatic or official affairs, humanitarian emergency etc.), this measure shall remain in force until further notice.From March 22 to 31, all international flights will be suspended and mandatory health checks will be implemented at border checkpoints.

The government has declared a state of emergency on March 12. From March 13, no foreign citizen can enter Slovakia. At the border crossing with Poland, only Polish citizens can enter Slovakia. All international airports will be closed.

Ukraine

All borders have been closed since March 16 and foreigners are prohibited from entering, except for: diplomats, representatives of international organizations, and holders of permanent and temporary residence permits. From March 17, Ukraine will suspend international passenger transport for a period of two weeks.

Australia

Australia is closing its borders to all non-citizens and non-residents. The entry ban takes effect from 9pm AEDT Friday, 20 March 2020, with exemptions only for Australian citizens, permanent residents and their immediate family, including spouses, legal guardians and dependants.

New Zealand citizens who live in Australia as Australian residents are also exempt, as are New Zealanders transiting to New Zealand. Exemptions for Pacific Islanders transiting to their home countries will continue to apply.

Australian citizens and permanent residents and those exempt from our entry restrictions will continue to be subject to a strict 14 days self-isolation.

New Zealand

From March 25, state of emergency has been declared, anyone not involved in essential work, needs to stay at home.

The New Zealand Government has further strengthened travel restrictions, closing border to almost all travelers from 23:59 on Thursday 19 March 2020.

Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis by Immigration New Zealand for: humanitarian reasons, health and other essential workers, citizens of Samoa and Tonga for essential travel to New Zealand, and the holder of a visitor visa who is the partner of dependent of a temporary work or student visa holder and who normally lives in New Zealand and is currently in New Zealand.

No other foreign traveler can enter New Zealand. Returning residents and citizens must isolate themselves for 14 days upon arrival.

These restrictions will be reviewed in 14 days.

New Zealand citizens, permanent residents, residents with valid travel conditions and their immediate family (partner or spouse, legal guardian and dependent children under the age of 24) can still come to New Zealand. Immediate family members cannot travel by themselves. They must travel with the New Zealand citizen or resident family member on the same flight to New Zealand.

Australian citizens and permanent residents who normally live in New Zealand can still come to New Zealand.

All travelers to New Zealand must isolate themselves for 14 days upon arrival.

American Samoa

Travelers from affected foreign countries or regions (Mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, South Korea)entering American Samoa have to spend 14 days in a country or region not affected by the coronavirus and acquire a 3-day health clearance — day 11 of the 14 days — before entry.

Cook Islands

From March 25, all travelers will be denied entry, except for: New Zealand passport holders; New Zealand Permanent Resident holder; Australia Citizens and Permanent Residents who normally live in New Zealand; Cook Islanders; Permanent Residents of the Cook Islands; Cook Islands Work permit holders; Cook Island Residents permit holders.

Entry will also be permitted for any immediate family (partner or spouse, legal guardian and dependent children) if they are travelling with one of the above persons.

All new arrivals are required to undergo supervised quarantine for 14 days upon arrival.

All foreign nationals who have been in mainland China, Iran, South Korea , USA, UK, and all countries of European Union within 14 days of their intended travel to Fiji will be denied entry.Those allowed entry should self-quarantine for 14 days.Fiji Airways, Fiji’s National Airline, has suspended all international flights from March 20 until the end of May, with the exception of twice-weekly services between Singapore and Nadi.

Marshall Islands

From March 25, all international travelers will not be allowed entry.

Micronesia

Persons Travelling directly or indirectly, either by air or sea transport, from anywhere in mainland China since January 6 (valid until March 31，2020), are banned from entering into the FSM. Persons travelling into FSM from countries, states or territories with confirmed cases of the Coronavirus (other than mainland China) are not allowed to enter into the FSM unless they have stayed in countries, states or territories with no confirmed cases of the Coronavirus for a period of no less than 14 days immediately prior to their entry into the FSM (valid until February 28, 2020).

Palau

From February 5 to March 31, Palau will prohibit entry of all travelers with travel history originating from or transiting through mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau within 14 days of their arrival in the country.

Exemption may be made to this prohibition for Palauan citizens and residents, provided that such persons submit to a comprehensive health screening and agree to a 14-day self-quarantine upon arrival in Palau.

Any person, including a crew member, a Palauan citizen, or a Palau resident, arriving into Palau at any point of entry is required to complete a health declaration form.

All resident workers of Palau are advised to carry their worker’s permit and immigration entry permit while traveling.

From February 1 to March 31, flights from mainland China (including Hong Kong, Macau) to Palau are suspended.

Papua New Guinea

On 22 March 2020, the Government of Papua New Guinea declared a State of Emergency, and ceased all Air Niugini inbound international flights. The ban will be in place for one week, with ongoing review. Only Papua New Guinean passport holders and Permanent Residents will be permitted to travel to Port Moresby.

No person may enter the territory of Papua New Guinea, except for: health workers or persons assisting in the delivery of health services, persons for purpose of assisting PNG with its response to COVID-19, diplomatic personal, military personal, flight crews and cargo vessel crews.

Samoa

All international travelers, travelling to Samoa are prohibited from entering Samoa unless: the traveler is a returning citizen or resident of Samoa; and that returning resident or citizen must have a COVID-19 test within 5 days before entering Samoa, 14 days self-quarantine will apply on a case by case basis.

NO traveler is allowed to board any flight if has a history of having suffered or admitted to any hospital with a Viral, flu like illness or with symptoms of fever, cough, generalized body weakness and shortness of breath with in the past 20 days before travel to Samoa.

There shall be only 3 flights between Samoa and New Zealand, for each carrier and each carrier must not exceed carriage of 490 passengers per week to Samoa. There shall be only 1 flight between Samoa and Australia per week.

The following flights are suspended until further notice – between: Samoa and Tonga; Samoa and Fiji; Samoa and American Samoa.

ALL Charted Flights, Yachts and Cruise Ships intended for Samoa will not be granted entry into Samoa until further notice.

Solomon Islands

From March 22, Non-Citizens of Solomon Islands will not be permitted to enter the country as of yesterday. Solomon Islands Citizens and residents who travelled through any country reporting cases of COVID-19 (Coronavirus) will be permitted to enter but will undergo mandatory strict quarantine for 14 days.

Tonga

From March 23, all airports will be closed to international flights. From March 23, all international flights to Tonga is diverted from Tonga for the next two weeks. Only Tongan passport holders, valid residency visa holders, valid working visa holders and international travelers approved by the Ministry of Health, will be granted entry.

Vanuatu

From March 19, travelers from mainland China, Hong Kong and Macao SAR, Taiwan, South Korea, Japan, Singapore, Iran, Italy, France, Spain, Germany, Switzerland, Netherlands, United Kingdom, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Belgium, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Portugal, Finland, Israel, Australia, Malaysia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Canada and the United States of America will not be allowed entry, except for citizens and residents of Vanuatu.

United States

Foreign nationals who have visited one of these countries in the past 14 days may not enter the United States: (last reviewed: March 30, 2020)

China, Iran, Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Monaco, San Marino, Vatican City, United Kingdom, Republic of Ireland.

American citizens, lawful permanent residents, and their families who have been in one of the countries listed above in the past 14 days will be allowed to enter the United States but will be redirected to one of 13 airports.

All international travelers returning to the United States should stay home and monitor their health for 14 days.

From March 20, 2020, visa service will be suspended.

From March 21, 2020, borders with Mexico, Canada will be closed, non-essential travel across the border will be restricted.

Canada

Beginning March 18, 2020 the Government of Canada will, for air travel specifically:

Bar foreign nationals from all countries except the United States from entering Canada. The measure would not apply in designated exceptional circumstances, including to air crews, travelers arriving in Canada in transit to a third country, Canadian permanent residents, diplomats, or immediate family members of Canadian citizens.

Redirect international passenger flight arrivals to four airports: Toronto Pearson International Airport, Vancouver International Airport, Montréal-Trudeau International Airport, and Calgary International Airport. At this time, this measure will not affect domestic flights or flights from the United States, sun destinations such as Mexico and the Caribbean, or St. Pierre-et-Miquelon.

Airlines will prevent all travelers who present COVID-19 symptoms, regardless of their citizenship, from boarding international flights to Canada.

All travelers to Canada self-isolate for 14 days upon entry, with exceptions for workers who are essential to the movement of goods and people.

Antigua and Barbuda

All foreign nationals traveling from or transiting through China, Iran, Italy, Japan, South Korea and Singapore in the last 28 days will be temporarily banned from entering Antigua and Barbuda.

Bahamas

Non-residents that have traveled to Italy, Iran and Korea countries within 20 days before arriving in The Bahamas will be denied entry. From March 19, 2020 and for 30 days, Nonresidents who have stayed or transited in the countries of Schengen, Ireland and the United Kingdom in the 14 days prior to their arrival in Bahamas will be denied entry.All residents returning to The Bahamas will be strictly quarantined and monitored for development of symptoms for the duration of the incubation period with a maximum of 14 days.

Barbados

Travelers will be screened, those showing symptoms will be quarantined.

Belize

From March 21, land border with Mexico has been closed, tentatively for 30 days, except for cargo. From March 23, Belize’s main airport has ceased operations.

Dominica

Travelers from China have to self-quarantine for 14 days.

Cuba

From March 24 for 30 days, all travelers are prohibited from entering Cuba, except for Cuban citizens and foreigners living in Cuba for work, those allowed entry have to be isolated for 14 days; foreign tourists are allowed leaving Cuba; only cargo flights and ships are allowed to enter Cuba, and their crew are subject to medical monitoring.

Dominican Republic

From March 19, all borders will be closed, except for cargo, and foreign citizens can still leave the country.

El Salvador

From March 11, El Salvador will ban entry to all foreigners for a period of 21 days, Salvadorans arriving from countries where coronavirus has been declared would have to be quarantined for 30 days.

Grenada

Foreign nationals from Italy, Iran, South Korea, China, Germany or who have travelled to those countries will be refused entry, Grenadian National or Resident will be quarantined for a period of 14 days upon arrival into Grenada.

Guatemala

The Guatemalan authorities have introduced an entry ban for an indefinite period, for all travelers who have stayed or transited in France, Germany, Spain, Italy, China, in Iran, South Korea，North Korea in the 30 day prior to their arrival to Guatemala.From March 17, the land border with Mexico will be closed for 15 days, international flights to and from the country will be suspended.

Honduras

From March 15, air, land and sea borders have been closed for 7 days. This measure will be extended if necessary.

Jamaica

From March 21, all borders, by land, sea and air, will be closed to human traffic for two weeks. This closure will not apply to goods, supplies and cargo.

Northern Mariana Islands

The Northern Mariana Islands Governor Ralph DLG. Torres issued an executive order on 29 January that indicates the Commonwealth Ports Authority to seek to suspend travelers from mainland China arriving directly and indirectly into the CNMI.

Mexico

Travelers from coronavirus affected countries or regions will be screened, those showing symptoms will be quarantined.

Nicaragua

Travelers will be screened, those showing symptoms will be quarantined.

Panama

From March 13, flights from Europe have been suspended for 30 days. From March 17, all travelers (except for citizens and residents of Panama) will not be allowed entry, citizens and residents have to self-quarantine at home for 14 days after entry.

Saint Kitts and Nevis

Any and all incoming passengers who have travelled to or from any of the following countries within the last 14 days will be asked to provide travel history, history of exposure to the virus and contact information: China, Hong Kong SAR, Singapore, South Korea, Italy, Japan and Iran.

Persons traveling to/from these destinations within the last 14 days are asked not to travel to St. Kitts and Nevis; persons who do travel to St. Kitts and Nevis from these destinations will be subject to screening at the ports of entry and may be monitored by the public health team or quarantined at home or at a designated facility based on risk assessment.

The Federation of St. Kitts and Nevis reserves the right to deny entry to any non-nationals who have visited the countries listed above within the incubation period of 14 days; nationals and/or residents who have visited those countries within the 14-day incubation period will be required to go through the established screening process.

All persons having been in mainland China, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR, Singapore, Japan, South Korea in the last 14 days will be denied entry.

Trinidad and Tobago

From March 23, the country will close its international borders completely.The closure applies to both nationals and non-nationals. The nation’s seaports will also be closed, cargo ships will still be allowed to drop off goods.
From March 30 to April 15, 2020, the Government is requesting that persons should limit being outside of their homes unless they are part of the essential staff of essential businesses or to conduct essential activity.

The Government of Saint Lucia announces the closure of Saint Lucia’s airports and seaports effective from March 23 until April 5.

Argentina

On March 11, the Government of Argentina has announced a two-week isolation period for people arriving from China, Italy, France, Germany, Spain, Japan, South Korea and the United States.

From March 17, all flights from China, South Korean, Iran, Europe and the United States will be suspended for at least 30 days. All foreigners having, during the last 14 days, stayed or transited through United States, European Union, United Kingdom, Ireland, China, Iran, Japan, South Korea, Schengen countries will not be allowed entry, except for residents.

From March 20 until April 13, the government impose a nation-wide home quarantine.

Bolivia

From March 26 to April 15, the country is in lockdown, all borders are closed, and no one is allowed to enter or leave the country except for emergency medical treatment.

Brazil

From March 23 to 30, citizens of China, EU countries, Iceland, Norway, Switzerland, UK, Australia, Japan, Malaysia, South Korea are banned from entering Brazil by air. Restrictions on entry do not apply to: 1. Brazilian citizens; 2. Foreign citizens who have residence permit in Brazil; 3. Foreign professionals working in international organizations; 4. Foreign workers recognized by the Brazilian government; Family members of Brazilian citizens; 6. Foreigners who are specially authorized to enter by the Brazilian government for public interest; 7. Foreign citizens who hold a National Immigration Registration Card (Registro Migratório Nacional, commonly known as “red card”); 8. Cargo transportation personnel. On March 19, the Brazilian government announced that it would close its land borders with neighboring countries Argentina, Bolivia, Colombia, Guyana, French Guyana, Paraguay, Peru and Suriname (Brazilian citizens can enter ). Borders with Venezuela have been closed earlier.

Chile

The govrnement has closee all terrestrial, maritime and aerial borders to foreigners, Chilean citizens and residents who have visited high risk countries have to self-quarantine for 14 days after entry.

Colombia

From March 16 to May 30, Columbia will impose an entry ban on all foreign visitors with the exception of foreign residents and diplomats, Colombians and foreign residents who are allowed entry must isolate themselves at home for two weeks. Cruise ships are prohibited from docking at the ports of Columbia. All international flights will be suspended for 30 days from March 23. From March 25 to April 13, a national confinement will be implemented, non-essential travel will be prohibited, and all domestic commercial passenger flights will be suspended.

Ecuador

Ecuador’s government On March 14 announced the closure of its borders from March 15 to all foreign travelers, Ecuadorean citizens and foreigners with Ecuadorean residency will have until the end of March 16 to return.

Guyana

From March 18, all international flights will be suspended for a period of 14 days.

Peru

From March 16, Peru will temporarily close all borders. Suspend air and sea transport.

Suriname

All travelers (including residents) who have been in areas with the coronavirus outbreak will be screened, those having symptoms will be quarantined for 14 days, those without symptoms have to self-quarantine. Suspected cases will be tested. From March 14, for a period of one month, air travel will be suspended, all travelers will not be allowed entry.

Uruguay

From March 25，foreign citizens will not be allowed entry, except for: Uruguayan citizens and foreigners residing in Uruguay. Citizens of MERCOSUR member states are allowed to transit in Uruguay to travel back to their countries of origin.

Until April 13, Uruguayan citizens and foreigners residing in Uruguay shall not leave the country for tourist purposes.

Algeria

From March 17, all travel to and from France will be suspended and flights to and from Tunisia, Egypt, the UAE, Qatar and Jordan will be suspended. Effective March 19, all sea and air travel with Europe will be suspended, and flights with African countries such as Senegal, Mali, Niger, Mauritania, Côte d’Ivoire and Burkina Faso will be suspended. The government declared state of emergency on March 17, all borders have been closed, all air and sea travel have been suspended.

Angola

From March 27 until April 11, the country has entered a state of emergency. The government has the right to adopt specific border control measures in accordance with relevant regional and international agreements to restrict the movement of people and goods, such as conducting health checks at airports and ports, and prohibiting or restricting the entry of relevant travelers if needed.

From March 3, foreign nationals from China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Nigeria, Egypt, Algeria and other countries or regions with confirmed cases are prohibited from entering Angola. Angola will suspend all international flights from March 20, close the land ports with neighboring countries, and prohibit passenger ships from docking at Angola ports. This will be effective for 15 days, and may be extended if necessary.

Those who have entered before March 20 have to self-isolation for at least 14 days. The presidential decree also puts forward more stringent and specific measures and requirements for various public activities, public places, and personal hygiene and epidemic prevention.

Benin

From March 19, land borders will be strictly controlled, unnecessary entry will be denied, travelers will be screened and those having symptoms will be quarantined. Visa service will be restricted, all travelers entering the airport will be quarantined, and foreigners have to pay the cost.

Botswana

The government announced on March 25 the following measures:

The movement of people such as visiting neighboring countries including Lesotho and Swaziland is restricted with the exception of the movement of goods and services. Batswana and residents of Botswana returning from these countries will be quarantined for 14 days. These measures will apply with immediate effect.

Travel to and from high risk countries is prohibited. The following countries have been classified by the World Health Organization as high risk countries; Austria, Australia, Belgium, Canada, China, Chechnya, Denmark, France, Germany, Japan, Iran, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom and United States of America. To this end, non-citizens and non- residents coming from those countries are prohibited from entering Botswana at any point of entry. Botswana citizens and residents returning from these high risk countries will be subjected to mandatory quarantine for 14 days with immediate effect.

Burkina Faso

From March 21, all borders, by land, sea and air, will be closed for two weeks, and will be extended if necessary.

Burundi

All travelers who have been in Countries of the European Union, Australia, China, South Korea, the United States, Iran, Japan and the United Kingdom will be quarantined for 14 days. From March 22, all international passenger flights have been suspended for one week.

Cameroon

From March 18 until further notice, all borders will be closed, all international flights will be suspended, except for freight flights and ships that transport consumer goods all airports will no longer issue entry visa.

Cape Verde

The Cape Verdean government announced that from March 20 until April 4, Boa Vista Island will be quarantined, and all international passenger flights will be suspended.

Chad

All travellers will undergo temperature check and hand disinfection at N’Djamena International Airport, all travelers from high risk countries or regions are subject to a 14-day medical observation. The government has decided to suspend flights to N’Djamena from midnight on March 19.

Comoros

All travelers from coronavirus affected countries or regions will not be allowed entry.

Republic of the Congo

From March 21, all borders, by land, sea, river, and air, will be closed to human traffic for two weeks. This closure will not apply to goods, supplies and cargo.

Democratic Republic of the Congo

From March 20, all flights from countries at risk have been suspended, except cargo. All passengers residing in countries at risk have to postpone their travel to DRC. All travelers will be screened, suspected cases will be subject to a 14-day quarantine, those tested positive will be transferred to hospitals.

Côte d’Ivoire

From March 22, all borders, by land, sea and air, will be closed to human traffic. This closure will not apply to goods, supplies and cargo.

Djibouti

All flights to/from Djibouti will be suspended except cargo flights effective from March 18.

Egypt

All international flights to/from all Egyptian Airports will be suspended except cargo flights effective March 19 to April 15. From March 25, Egypt will impose a two-week nightly curfew.

Ethiopia

All travelers will be quarantined for 14 days at their own cost.

Equatorial Guinea

From March 15, all commercial flights to and from the country will be suspended, borders will be closed, all travelers from countries affected by the coronavirus will be quarantined for 14 days. This is effective for 30 days.

Eritrea

Travelers will be screened at the Asmara International Airport, travelers from China have to report their travel history, and may be sent to designated hospitals for quarantine.

Gabon

The government announced on March 14 that the granting of tourist visas is suspended from the most infected areas, namely the European Union, China, South Korea and the United States.

Gambia

From March 23, Gambia has closed the border between Gambia and Senegal, and its airspace from all flights except for medical cargo flights.

Ghana

From March 22, all borders, by land, sea and air, will be closed to human traffic for two weeks. Anybody who comes into the country, before midnight on March 22, will be mandatorily quarantined and tested for the virus. This closure will not apply to goods, supplies and cargo.

Guinea

From March 21, for 30 days, all embassies and consulates abroad will suspend the issuance of visas to travelers from countries affected by the epidemic. It is recommended that foreign nationals do not return to the country. For 30 days from March 22, except for cargo and humanitarian purposes, commercial flights from affected countries (more than 30 confirmed cases) will be suspended. From March 27, tentatively for one month, the country has been in a state of emergency, all land borders will be closed except for cargo.

Eswatini

From March 27, for 20 days, all borders will be closed, only returning citizens and legal residents are allowed entry.

Guinea-Bissau

From March 18, all land, air and sea borders of the country have been closed.

Kenya

On March 15,the Government announced that it has suspended entry for all persons coming into Kenya from any country with reported Coronavirus cases.Only Kenyan Citizens and foreigners with valid resident permits will be allowed entry provided they take up self-quarantine or check into a government-designated quarantine facility.

This will take effect within the next 48 hours to cater for any passengers who may be enroute. This directive will remain in effect for the next 30 days or as varied by the National Emergency Response Committee.

Additionally, all persons who have come into Kenya in the last 14 days must self-quarantine while any person who exhibits symptoms such as cough or fever should present themselves to the nearest health facility for testing.

From March 25, all international flights will be suspended, except for cargo.

Lesotho

From March 29 until April 22, the country is in lockdown. With the exception of medical, food and goods transportation, all persons are not allowed to enter Lesotho.

Libya

On March 14, the government declared a state of emergency. From March 16, the airport, seaport and border crossings will be closed for 3 weeks.

Liberia

From March 16, travelers who have been in countries with more than 200 confirmed cases Coronavirus within 14 days before their arrival in Liberia will be denied entry. The Government of Liberia has declared a state of national health emergency, designating Montserrado and Margibi Counties as infected areas. Except for cargo, chattered and special flights, all commercial flights are ordered suspended as of March 23.

Madagascar

From March 14, all international flights have been suspended.Cruise ships are also banned from entering ports in Madagascar.

Malawi

The President on March 20 declared a state of disaster. From March 23 foreigners from coronavirus-hit countries would be barred from entering Malawi, while nationals and residents returning from affected countries would be subjected to self- or institutional quarantine. The Malawi government has also temporary suspended the issuance of visas to citizens of countries highly affected by the disease.

Mauritania

All travelers will be quarantined for 14 days. The borders with neighboring countries are closed, 6 border crossings remain open. All travelers will undergo temperature check at entry points. From March 17, all flights to Mauritania will be suspended.

Mauritius

From March 19, all foreign passengers coming or transiting to Mauritius will not be allowed to enter for the next two weeks. From March 24, all travelers(including Mauritians and residents)coming or transiting to Mauritius will not be allow to enter for the next two weeks.

Mali

From March 19, all flights from countries with confirmed cases of coronavirus will be suspended.

Morocco

All flights to and from China, Italy, Spain, Algeria, France, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Netherlands, Austria, Denmark, Greece, Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Turkey, Lebanon, Egypt, Bahrain, UAE, Oman, Jordan, Tunisia, Senegal, Mauritania, Niger, Mali, Chad, Canada and Brazil have been suspended, except for cargo.

Mozambique

Arriving passengers will be screened and questioned about their travel history, those with symptoms will be quarantined immediately, and all travelers from coronavirus affected countries((China, South Korea, Iran, Italy, Germany, France, Denmark, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States. etc.) have to be quarantined. From March 20, the embassies, consulates and ports of entry of Mozambique have suspended visa issuance, visas have been issued are no longer valid.

Namibia

The President of Namibia announced on March 24 the following measures:

The travel ban is extended to all countries around the World for a period of thirty (30) days and applies to all Namibians and permanent residents.

Special circumstances for the admission of certain persons into Namibia will be considered and approved by the relevant institutions, depending on the nature of travel to be undertaken, and the criticality of such mission to the national interest and safety and security of the Republic of Namibia.

All returning Namibians and Permanent residents and Permanent residents arriving from high-risk countries are subjected to mandatory supervised quarantine for 14 days, at own cost.

Internal travel restrictions will apply with respect to Khomas and Erongo region, for a period of 21 days starting on March 27 and ending April 16 2020.

Niger

From March 19, all international flights to and from Niger will be suspended for two weeks and may be extended if necessary, all land borders will be closed, cargo transportation will not be restricted.

Nigeria

Nigeria is restricting entry into the country for travelers from China, Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Japan, France, Germany, the United States, Norway, UK, Netherlands and Switzerland. The Federal Government of Nigeria has also suspended the issuance of visa on arrival to travelers from these countries. All travelers returning from these countries prior to the restriction will be in supervised self-isolation.

The restriction will take effect starting on March 20 and will be in place until further notice. From March 23, all airports will be closed to international flights.

Rwanda

From March 21, all commercial flights to and from Kigali International Airport (including Rwanda Airlines) will be suspended for a month.

Sao Tome and Principe

From March 17, the Country has entered a state of public health emergency. All foreign citizens are not allowed to enter; citizens and residents of Sao Tome and Principe have to self-quarantine at home isolation. Technology and government delegations invited by the government of Sao Tome and Principe are allowed to enter, but must have a proof of negative testing results of the coronavirus at the airport of departure. Charter flights are prohibited from landing at Sao Tome and Principe airports, and cruise ships are prohibited from docking at the ports of Sao Tome and Principe. Crew and passengers of cargo ships, fishing vessels, and yachts are prohibited from docking in Ports of Sao Tome and Principe.

Senegal

From March 14, cruise ships will be suspended from docking and health check has been strengthened sanitary inspections at borders. From March 21 to April 17, all flights will be suspended, except for cargo.

Seychelles

From 25 March 2020, Any passenger arriving from ANY country (except returning Seychellois citizens) will NOT be allowed to enter Seychelles. A foreign national who requires to enter Seychelles for any special mission has to obtain written permission from the Public Health Commissioner prior to leaving the country of origin. Returning Seychellois citizens will be quarantined for 14 days.

Sierra Leone

From March 27, the country has closed its land borders with Guinea and Liberia for a 30-day period, excepting cargo vehicles which will be limited to two apprentices & a driver.
All passengers travelling to Sierra Leone will be screened.All travelers who have been in countries affected by the coronavirus in the last 14 days will be quarantined for 14 days. The President declared a State of Public Emergency with effect from March 24 for a period of twelve months, Citizens are strongly encouraged to postpone all overseas travel especially to locations with reported cases of the Corona virus. The Ministry of Health has issued a comprehensive advisory for the administration of quarantine for citizens, legal residents, and visitors who arrive in Sierra Leone.

From March 18, all international flights will be suspended for 15 days.

South Africa

The National Coronavirus Command Council has decided to enforce a nation-wide lockdown for 21 days with effect from midnight on Thursday 26 March. From midnight on Thursday 26 March until midnight on Thursday 16 April, all South Africans will have to stay at home.

South African citizens and residents arriving from high-risk countries will automatically be placed under quarantine for 14 days. Non-South Africans arriving on flights from high-risk countries we prohibited a week ago will be turned back.

International flights to Lanseria Airport will be temporarily suspended.

International travelers who arrived in South Africa after 9 March 2020 from high-risk countries will be confined to their hotels until they have completed a 14-day period of quarantine.

Travel ban will be imposed from 18 March on foreign citizens who come from Italy, Iran, South Korea, Spain, Germany, United States, Germany, United Kingdom and China. Visas to visitors from those countries have been cancelled from March 15. Previously granted visas have been revoked.

Additionally, any foreign national who has visited any of the high risk countries in the past 20 days will be denied a visa. South African citizens returning from these countries will be subjected to testing and self-isolation or quarantine on return.

Travelers from medium risk countries such as Portugal, Hong Kong and Singapore will be required to undergo high intensity screening. All travelers who have entered South Africa from high risk countries since mid-February will be required to hand themselves over for testing.

35 of the country’s 53 land ports of entry will be shut down as of March 16. Two of the eight sea ports will be shut down.

South Sudan

Travelers from more than 70 coronavirus affected countries and regions will not be allowed entry. From March 23, all international passenger flights will be suspended and all borders will be closed, except for cargo and humanitarian missions. All land borders will be closed, except for cargo.

Sudan

From March 16, the government has declared a state of health emergency and closed all airports, sea and land border, except for humanitarian mission, technical support and cargo.

Tanzania

From March 23, all travelers from countries severely affected by the COVID-19 will be quarantined at designated locations for 14 days at their own expense.

Togo

From March 20, all borders, by land, sea and air, will be closed to human traffic for two weeks. This closure will not apply to goods, supplies and cargo.

Tunisia

The Tunisian government has put in place the following measures and restrictions: Closure of air, land and sea borders from March 18; Implementation of general confinement with limitation of movement unless absolutely necessary or for vital services, from March 22 until April 4; Prohibition of intercity travel and travel between regions.

Uganda

From March 18, Uganda will ban for 32 days all out-bound movement by Ugandans to or through Italy, France, South Korea, China, USA, United Kingdom, Netherlands, Switzerland, Sweden, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Norway Austria, Malaysia, Pakistan and San Marino. Foreigners going to those countries are free to do so provided they do not intend to come back within the prohibited time. Ugandans coming back from abroad will be put in a mandatory quarantine in a designated place but they will pay the cost.

Zambia

Travelers will be screened, those showing symptoms will be quarantined.

Zimbabwe

Zimbabwe declared national emergencies on March 17, screening of travelers will be intensified and some borders will be closed. Foreigners planning to visit Zimbabwe are required to postpone their plans for at least 30 days and “unnecessary” travel by Zimbabweans outside the country is prohibited.
